Travel by road or air to Besnard Lake Lodge, one of the finest fishing lodges in Northern Saskatchewan Canada. Our cabins are fully modern, overlooking the lake and equipped with bathrooms, propane stoves, fridges, cooking utensils, bedding and nearby showerhouse. Our newest cabin (shown here)sleeps six to eight people and has its own indoor shower. The store is well-stocked with fishing tackle, groceries, souvenirs, and fishing licenses. Fish for Northern Pike and Walleye (Pickerel). Arriving at the dock after an enjoyable day of fishing with Saskatchewan's finest guides, the staff will pick up your catch and take it to the modern filleting shed where your fish will be filleted, labelled and frozen.
Besnard Lake is known as the "Lake of Many Islands" - more than 250. There are 188 miles of shoreline, excluding island shores. The lake is fed by the Mercier River which is also the spawning area for the Walleye (Pickerel). Here the Great Canadian Shield cuts through the lake and the waters flow to the north and east to form part of the Churchill River System. |
